The movie at left consists of eight frames taken at five-minute intervals on January 30, 2004.  The dark spot is a shadow of one of Jupiter's moons, Ganymede, which was not itself in the frame (it was just off to the left).  These images used a Philips ToUcam Pro webcam and an 10-inch LX200GPS telescope.
